by teaching myself. Two years ago, I stumbled upon a
couple guitar learning programs and decided to give them
a try. Over the years, I have seen my share of scams and
useless materials. The best guitar programs are, without
a doubt Steve Krentz's "Learn
and Master Guitar" and Ben Edwards' "Jamorama".
Since I started reviewing guitar
programs two years ago, I have always kept an eye out

"Learn and Master
Guitar"
is by far the most comprehensive and detailed guitar
learning program there is. The book by itself is already
an excellent product. It is though, also the most
expensive. However, with the very easy to understand and
well made DVDs and CDs, it is well worth the
price. If you want the absolute best package, then this
is it. It will have you playing guitar like an expert in
no time, or if you are already one, turn you into a
professional.

Jamorama" by Ben Edwards,
is not as comprehensive and detailed as "Learning to
Master Guitar" but it's definitely still an amazing
product. The audio lessons are great and the games make
practice fun and interesting. This is easily the best
guitar program you will find for under $150. It is a
great inexpensive alternative to "Learn and
Master Guitar". |
"Guitar Tutor Pro" is
another great product full of pretty detailed materials.
The audios and softwares make it very interactive and
fun. However, it's geared towards more of a beginner
skill level and will not be helpful for advanced
players. |
"Unlock the Guitar Guide"
is a good course for beginner skill levels. It provides
good, reliable training, which enables you to learn
basic guitar skills fairly easy and quickly. This would
be a good program to have, however, only if you do not
intend to move on to higher levels than the basic guitar
skills. |

doubt, the best guitar learning program there is. It
rivals even some of the best professional guitar
instructors. It provides a great learning tool without
the hassle of making time for any instructors. You can
learn at your own pace. Whether you are a beginner or an
expert, it has lessons for everyone.
I have been reviewing guitar programs
for a long time now. For over a year and ever since I
came across Learn and Master Guitar, it has been on top
of the list. The only drawback is that it is a physical
product and you will not have instant access to the
materials. However, delivery only takes a 3-4 days at
most anyways. Even with this disadvantage, it is
completely worth the price and the wait.
Compared to

steps higher in almost every aspect. There is really no
program that really comes close of matching up to Learn
and Master Guitar.
The lessons on the DVDs really make it
fun and interesting. You tend to look forward to every
lesson. The CDs are filled with Jam songs that adds a
lot more to what already is a great worthwhile
product. And once you buy the package, the customer
support is just top notched as well. All this really
push this product to the 5 out 5 Star Perfect Rating
it received. Also, be on the
look out for sales that they have every once in a while.

Final Thoughts about Buying a Guitar Learning Program
Every one of
the programs reviewed are at least a good choice.
Depending on your budget and quality of the learning
materials you wish to invest, one would suit you better
than others. However, of all these great products, each
one misses some important aspect of the guitar or at
least have some disadvantage that seems to bother me
when I first bought them and then tried them.
For example,
Learn and Master Guitar has a wait time before you can
receive the materials and it doesn't show you how to
become a musician. Or another example, Jamorama will not
teach music theory. So ultimately, you can't seem to get
the complete package no matter which one you buy. So
